Hey football fans, I hope you can join me for the second annual 12 North Sports Classic. I am really excited to bring some of my teammates and special guests home to Canada, while raising some funds and awareness for three worthwhile causes: Special Olympics BC, the Skidegate Haida Immersion Program (SHIP), and growing youth football Canada.

Below are a list of events we will be hosting in Langley, Vancouver, Burnaby and Haida Gwaii. I also want to thank the growing list of volunteers, sponsors, donors, coaches and fans for all your support to make these events possible. Look forwarding to seeing fans from both sides of the border and from across the Pacific Northwest this June, and hope you will come out and cheer for Team Willson at the free Celebrity Flag Football game at Swangard Stadium on Saturday, June 24th.

Skidegate Haida Immersion Program

Home to one of the oldest civilizations and cultures in North America, Haida Gwaii is the host venue for this year’s 12 North Fishing Tournament.  In an effort to help support  it’s historical and cultural significance, year’s event will help support the Skidegate Haida Immersion Program (SHIP)

The goal of the program Program is to preserve and revitalize the Skidegate Haida language. SHIP has been recording the Skidegate dialect for years and from that material produced over 120 instructional language resources. In addition to supporting SHIP, Luke and some of his special guests will host a free youth football clinic on Haida Gwaii on June 25th, 2017 in partnership with HaiCo.
